The completion of the first construction phase of the Horizon Quarter in Kirchbichl is within reach! On the construction site of the North Logistics Hall, there is high activity – we are already in the final construction phase.
What has happened in the past few weeks:
• Concrete slab: About 1,250 m³ of concrete were delivered by around 140 mixer trucks. The high requirements for the future hall floor demanded the utmost precision during installation and a logistical masterpiece on site.
• Interior construction: While the building envelope is almost completed, interior construction is in full swing. The office section for the logistics staff will be finished by the end of May.
• Next steps: The installation of the high racks will start soon, creating nearly 18,000 pallet spaces. At the same time, the exterior facilities are being completed.
Despite the ambitious schedule, the North Logistics Hall will be handed over to the future user Balmung Medical in the summer of 2026. It will serve as a central warehouse for the Central European market, thereby sustainably strengthening supply security in the healthcare system – both regionally and internationally.
Outlook: While the first construction phase will soon be completed, the earthworks for the additional components (South Logistics Hall as well as the representative office complex with the 55-meter-high main tower) have already begun – further information will follow soon!
